“The Letter” directed by Oscar winning Taika Waititi for Coca Cola Christmas

Very happy to announce that I've composed the score to Taika Waititi's brilliant short film for Coca Cola Christmas. Following a Dad's epic journey across the world to deliver a letter, the score was recorded remotely at the Czech Television Sound Stage last month. Thanks to the brilliant Sean at SIREN Music, the agency Wieden + Kennedy, and an incredible music team including Adam Miller (mixer) and Tom Kelly (orchestration)....

“A Perfect Enemy” directed by Kiké Maíllo

Very happy to announce earlier this year I've been collaborating with award winning Spanish director Kiké Maíllo for his feature "A Perfect Enemy". Based on the bestselling book by Amélie Northomb, the film premiered at the Sitges International Festival last month and stars Tomasz Kot (Cold War), Marta Nieto and Athena Strates. The score was recorded both in my own studio in London and in Prague.. it took on quite an experimental turn with tape loops and experimental processing with the orchestra which was a joy to create - a release of the soundtrack should be happening in the coming couple......

“The Windermere Children” on AIR Studios Playlist

AIR studios have put together a Spotify playlist of some of their favourite tracks recorded there over the years (David Bowie, Thom York, Billie Eilish, Hans Zimmer) and I jumped out of my skin when I saw they’d included one of my tracks from “The Windermere Children” on there called “Thoughts of Home”. Thanks so...

“A Life Lived” from The Windermere Children (live piano version)

I've recently recorded this live piano version of "A Life Lived" from The Windermere Children in my studio. Whilst the production was still filming, I was so moved after reading the script for the first time - so sat at the piano and tried to put down some of the emotions that came out; thinking about how those children must have felt arriving in Windermere after being freed from Auschwitz and Theresienstadt weeks before. It's not often that a script can move you to tears like that! A shortened version appears in the end credits of the film, but the......

“The Windermere Children” broadcast on BBC Two (UK) & ZDF (Germany)

Very happy that The Windermere Children is being broadcast today on BBC Two (UK) and ZDF (Germany) on Holocaust Memorial Day – the first drama of it’s kind to be broadcast simultaneously like this in the UK and Germany. It was hugely special composing the music for this film (I’ve written in other posts about...
