I was honoured to be asked to compose the music for this beautiful 90 second film made by the BBC in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Collaborating completely remotely – the edit, mix, grade and creative process was all done on Zoom meetings (with Idris’ voiceover being recorded on an iPhone). The score was recorded remotely too – the fab Jess Gillam (whose Radio 3 programme I was recently on) performed Soprano Saxophone, and the very brilliant Anna Phoebe and Maddie Cutter performed violin and cello. The poem performed is “Don’t Quit” written by John Greenleaf Whittier.
In homage to the BBC who are doing so much at this time, I squeezed in some well known BBC Theme Tunes.. see how many you can spot…..!
